Life Before CHB*: She lived with her father in New York, but she moved schools almost every two years, because her dad kept getting new jobs. When she was eleven, her dad married a woman named Jennifer. Jennifer pretended to be nice to Sydney, but when Evan wasn't around, she was totally evil to her. By the time she was thirteen, she was sick and tired of Jennifer. So she begged her father to get rid of Jennifer, and instead of getting rid of Jennifer, he got rid of Sydney, and sent her to Camp Half-Blood.
